Screen Privacy:
Peek Alert

Effective date: August 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Screen Privacy: Peek Alert (“Peek Alert”, “the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) accesses, uses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use the App. We designed Peek Alert around privacy. The App uses your device’s front-facing camera to detect whether another person may be looking at your screen. Camera analysis is performed directly on your device.

1. Camera Access

Peek Alert requires access to your device’s front-facing camera in order to provide its primary functionality.

The camera is used to:

The App does not use camera access for advertising or unrelated purposes.

2. On-Device Detection

Live camera frames used for detection are processed directly on your device. Camera frames used for real-time analysis are not uploaded to our servers.

Peek Alert does not perform facial recognition and does not attempt to determine the identity of people detected by the camera. The detection technology is used only to determine whether someone may be viewing your screen.

3. Viewer Capture Feature

Peek Alert may offer an optional feature that captures a photo when the App detects that someone may be looking at your screen. When this feature is enabled:

You control whether this feature is enabled. Users are responsible for using the photo-capture feature in accordance with applicable privacy, photography and recording laws in their jurisdiction.

4. Floating Privacy Indicator

Peek Alert may request permission to display content over other applications. This permission is used to show the privacy status indicator and alerts while you are using another application.

This permission is not used to read the content displayed inside other applications.

5. Notifications

Peek Alert may request permission to send notifications. Notifications may be used to inform you about privacy alerts, detection events, protection status, and features directly related to operation of the App. Notification permissions can be changed at any time through your Android device settings.

6. Information Stored on Your Device

The App may store information locally on your device such as app preferences, detection settings, privacy indicator settings, viewer-capture preferences, detection history, and locally captured photos. This information is used to operate and personalize the App.

7. Personal Information We Do Not Require

Peek Alert does not require your name, home address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or microphone recordings. No user account is required unless a future version of the App specifically introduces account functionality.

8. Sharing of Camera Images

We do not sell camera images or captured viewer photos. We do not provide live camera frames to advertisers, use captured images to create advertising profiles, or use captured images for facial recognition. Camera information is used only for the privacy-protection functionality described in this Privacy Policy.

9. Data Retention

Temporary camera frames used for real-time detection are processed as required for detection and are not intentionally retained after analysis. Photos generated through the optional viewer-capture feature remain on your device until you delete them.

Local App preferences and detection information may remain on the device until you delete them through the App where available, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Because camera frames and viewer photos are not stored on our servers, we cannot remotely access or delete those locally stored files.

10. Data Deletion

You can delete locally stored viewer photos and detection information through the available App or device controls. You may also clear Peek Alert’s local data through Android’s application settings or uninstall the App.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the App. Whenever possible, privacy-sensitive camera processing is performed locally on your device in order to minimize transmission of sensitive information. However, no software, device or security system can guarantee absolute security.
